Disability Information Bureau secures National Lottery funding to continue life-changing support across Cheshire East

The Disability Information Bureau (DIB) has secured five years of continuation funding from the National Lottery Community Fund to build on the success of its Welfare, Wellbeing and Work project, helping disabled people, people with long-term health conditions, carers and other vulnerable residents across Cheshire East access the practical support they need to improve their lives.

Do you want to reconnect with your outdoor space and connect more with wildlife and nature in your garden or yard? 

Our Green Connections Coordinator can offer advice, support and practical help to allow you to make the most of your garden and community. 

We work with you for up to three free sessions that will support you to become better connected with nature, develop your gardening skills and improve your wellbeing, as well as connect you with activities in your local areas.

Work is underway between the NHS and the voluntary, community, faith and social enterprise (VCFSE) sector in Cheshire and Merseyside to jointly develop a new collaboration agreement, reinforcing their shared commitment to strengthening partnership working for the benefit of their local communities.

Promoting Pension Credit Awareness

DWP Pension Credit Tool Kit

The Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) has released a Pension Credit Toolkit, a free resource hub for organisations to help raise awareness of Pension Credit among older people, their families, and carers. The toolkit includes downloadable social media assets, posters, and flyers to support local campaigns.

DWP estimate that up to 760,000 pensioner households may be entitled to Pension Credit, but do not claim it.
