Families United [FUN] - Chief Executive Officer

Families United (FUN) are a small but dynamic and passionate charity based in Warrington. We are dedicated to supporting families who care for children with disabilities. Through a variety of tailored events, resources, and community-driven initiatives, we empower families to connect, thrive, and overcome the challenges of caregiving. We are now looking to employ a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to help lead and develop our growing charity.

One You Cheshire East

One You Cheshire East is a lifestyle service commissioned by Cheshire East Council. Services are funded and designed to support residents of Cheshire East in managing their own health and wellbeing, and improving quality of life. The service re-launched in November 2024 with Everybody Health & Leisure. 

New Members Join The Small Charities Advisory Panel To Strengthen The Voice Of Small Charities

The Small Charities Advisory Panel (SCAP) has announced the appointment of five new members, ensuring a diverse and representative group of small charities will continue to advocate for the needs of the sector. The panel, which is led by NCVO, exists to strengthen the voice of small charities in policy and decision-making.

DWF Foundation

The DWF Foundation's work focuses on the issues of homelessness, health and wellbeing, employability, education, the environment, and sustainability.

Funding Available

Funding is usually at the discretion of the Foundation but the majority of grants are under £5,000.

Multi-year grants are not available.

Who can apply?

Registered charities in the UK that are working locally can apply for one-off grants.

Anchor Foundation

The Anchor Foundation supports Christian Charities working with art and healing and those seeking to offer social inclusion.

Available Funding

Grants of up to £12,000 per year are available.

The trust does not normally give grants to the same project for more than three years.

Who can apply?

Registered charities in the United Kingdom are eligible to apply. The trustees look favourably on organisations whose boards demonstrate equal opportunities.

Criteria

Allen Lane Foundation

The Allen Lane Foundation is keen to work with groups which focus on:

  • Will make a lasting difference to people's lives rather than simple alleviating the symptoms or current problems.
  • Is aimed at reducing isolation, stigma, and discrimination.
  • Encourages or enables unpopular groups to share in the life of the whole community.

Available Funding

The maximum grant is £15,000. This can be a single grant, or over two to three years. 

Who can apply?

Albert Hunt Trust

The Albert Hunt Trust is a grant-giving charitable trust that provides grants to support mental health and wellbeing of children and young adults up to the age of 25. Covering areas such as family support, suicide prevention, food banks, and more.
