To lead the delivery of the council’s direct and operational services, including town hall events, activities and commercial hire, markets and public realm. 

You’ll need to have some management experience as well as an understanding of the public sector and delivering events. We are also looking for someone who can help us to build and improve services in terms of value to the community as well as efficiency and sustainability. 

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong communication and engagement skills as well as excellent attention to detail. The post will oversee the council’s engagement with the local community and third sector, seeking to build collaborative service delivery as well as ensuring clear and professional communications and ready access to council information. 

You will be responsible for the council’s internal and external communications, governance and compliance reporting and work with the voluntary sector to build community engagement and resilience. 

We’re looking for a committed and diligent Caretaker to join our town hall team. 

Working flexibly to maintain high standards of presentation and maintenance as well as facilitating events and activities, this is a varied and important role at the very centre of Sandbach and what the council delivers.
