The Big Bike Revival offers free support to help adults get cycling locally, with over 10 events running between now and October 2026. Sessions are delivered by experienced and qualified volunteers, instructors, mechanics and passionate cyclists, and are completely free to attend. Bikes and helmets are available to borrow, and refreshments will be provided at every event.
We are offering four types of sessions:
Learn to Ride — for adults who never learned as a child, feel nervous about cycling, are returning after a break, or want to improve their road confidence.
Social Rides — short, relaxed local rides at your own pace, with time to stop, chat and enjoy the surroundings. As much about connection as distance.
Bike MOT (Fix) — bring your bike in any condition for a free health check, basic repairs, and tips on keeping it running well.
Learn to Fix — practical bike maintenance sessions in a relaxed, supportive environment, whether you're a complete beginner or just want to feel more confident.
We can also arrange sessions specifically for community groups if there is interest — please do get in touch if this is something your organisation would value.
