About the role

We are looking for a creative and enthusiastic Communications and Engagement Officer to help strengthen the voice and visibility of the VCFSE sector across Halton and St Helens.

You will play a vital role in promoting the impact of the sector, ensuring organisations are engaged and represented, and supporting effective communication with partners, stakeholders and communities.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver communications that reflect organisational priorities
  • Create engaging content across digital platforms, including social media and web
  • Manage and grow our online presence and engagement
  • Build relationships with VCFSE organisations and partners
  • Support promotion of events, training and sector activity
  • Monitor and evaluate communications activity to improve reach and impact

About you

You will bring:

  • Experience in communications, engagement or a similar role
  • Strong writing and content creation skills
  • Confidence using digital platforms and social media
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills
  • Creativity, initiative and a passion for community development
