At Pure Insight, we’re proud to support young people leaving care as they take their first steps into adulthood. Many of the young people we work with face serious challenges—homelessness, isolation, mental health issues, or becoming a young parent. This role is about walking alongside them, providing real, hands-on support, and helping them find their place in the world.
We’re looking for a dynamic and compassionate individual to join our team as a Leaving Care Mentoring Coordinator / Intensive Outreach Worker (Youth).
What You’ll Do:
- Build trusting relationships with care leavers aged 16–28
- Provide emotional and practical outreach support in the community and at home
- Coordinate and deliver our Mentoring Programme—recruiting, training, and supporting volunteer mentors
- Help young people reduce risks, access opportunities, and develop life skills
- Work closely with local partners, social care teams, and support networks
- Advocate for young people in multi-agency settings
What We’re Looking For:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience working with vulnerable or disengaged young people
- Experience of outreach work and safeguarding
- A positive, solution-focused attitude and the ability to build trust quickly
- A full driving licence and access to a car (this role involves travel across Cheshire East)
- Comfortable delivering training, supervising volunteers, and working flexible hours (evenings/weekends when needed)
