What is The Boshier Grant Scheme?

In partnership with the National Autistic Society, in 2023 Thea and Peter Boshier established a new grant scheme, The Boshier Grant Scheme.  

Each year, grants of up to £25,000 will be awarded to registered charities throughout the UK, who share the National Autistic Society’s vision to create a society that works for autistic people.

Grants will only be given to charities and projects which align with the annual theme of the project and meet the eligibility criteria.  

The fund will open for applications from 8 June 2026 to 24 July 2026.

This years theme

This year’s theme is “Making a society that works better for autistic people”.

Last year, we introduced an annual theme for grant scheme applicants.

The theme changes each year, enabling us to highlight a diverse range of issues and ensure that a variety of charities are given the opportunity to receive funding over the course of the grant scheme. 

Eligibility criteria

The Boshier Grant Scheme is open to charitable organisations of any size in the UK

  • Applicants must be registered with the Charity Commission and have a charity number and bank account
  • We will only award grants to projects which specifically benefit the lives of autistic people in the UK
  • We will not consider applications where autistic people specifically are not the primary beneficiaries
  • We will not accept applications from CICs
  • We will not consider applications from outside the UK.
