Welfare to Work Partnership Directory

Cheshire East Council hosts the area’s Welfare to Work Partnership. This is a partnership of all services that have some input to supporting disadvantaged people into employment. 

The remit of the group is to:

  • help eliminate service/geographical gaps and overlaps
  • create and exploit a joined up approach to employer engagement
  • create a directory of all supported employment services
  • create a joined up approach to transition support and external funding

 

 Examples of people that partnership organisations support include:

  • people with learning disabilities, physical/sensory disabilities, mental ill health, autism and aspergers
  • carers
  • care leavers
  • people affected by domestic violence
  • ex military personnel
  • people in recovery from alcohol/substance misuse
  • homeless people and people who are at risk of homelessness
  • people are affected by domestic abuse
  • long-term unemployed
  • ex offenders
  • ethnic minorities
  • refugees granted asylum
  • people aged 50+
