Donations needed to help people of Ukraine

Macclesfield Ukrainian Aid (https://ukrainianaid.org.uk/) are a group of committed volunteers based in Macclesfield, that are passionate in our cause to collect vital aid donations and deliver this direct to the people of Ukraine. 

We need your help urgently to increase the support we are able to provide at a time when it is most critically needed.

Urgently needed donations (these donations are welcome at any time):

  • Bandages and tourniquet

  • Wetwipes (preferably biodegradable)

  • Tea and coffee  

Other donations needed (these will be for the next delivery. Please drop off from 7 June onwards):

For Ukrainian soldiers, who have just been released by the Russians and are undergoing rehabilitation and will soon be returned home. Many of them have nothing. MUA has been asked if they can provide a new start in life for soldiers who have been released from captivity.

Ask #4: Any of the following items needed:

• 30 litre rucksacks 

• Personal hygiene products eg , razors, shaving foam, soap, toothpaste and tooth brush, comb, deodorant, towels.

• Underwear, socks,  T shirts, polo shirts, sweatshirts, trousers, jeans, jogging bottoms.

• Crocs-type or flip flop shoes. Trainers.

• Blankets, sleeping bags.

• Stationery, pens, playing cards.

• Non-perishable food for these soldiers

For displaced children and war orphans: 

MUA have a new request to help displaced children and war orphans who have been rescued and re-homed 30 km from Lviv. They are now safe, but again, have nothing. A female lawyer, teacher and interpreter who MUA met when handing over a donated 4x4 asked if they could help provide for these children who are aged 5 to 15. There are 20 girls and 10 boys. 

Ask #5: Any of the following items needed:

• Personal hygiene products

• School items eg, pens, crayons, felt pens,  exercise books, painting sets, educational toys

• Material (MUA are sending a sewing machine)

• Gardening tools, 

• a chicken house, 

• A projector, printer and a TV

MUA are also looking for donations of industrial-strength racking for their new storage depot in Macclesfield. If you or someone you know has joinery skills, offers of help to put up shelves would also be much appreciated.
