Cheshire and Warrington Infrastructure Partnership Devolution Manifesto Update

Cheshire and Warrington Infrastructure (CWIP) recently held a webinar to introduce a devolution manifesto for the voluntary, community, faith and social enterprise (VCFSE) sector.

Cheshire and Warrington is part of the government’s devolution priority programme (DPP), meaning the area's outline plans to set up a Combined Authority and hold mayoral elections in May 2026 have been accepted.

CWIP, which is supported by Voluntary Sector North West (VSNW), brings together local infrastructure organisations in the region, including the following.

The aim of the manifesto, which is currently focused on 10 key themes, is to help us speak with one voice and make sure the sector influences devolution as effectively as possible in the coming months.

If you couldn’t attend the webinar, there’s still time for you to provide any feedback and help us shape the manifesto further.

The webinar is the start of conversations and engagement on devolution and there’ll be regular updates in the coming weeks and months.
