Disley Parish Council is looking to appoint a multi-skilled, motivated and flexible individual to take over the role of Parish Clerk in Disley, near Stockport.
The post is full time (37 hours per week including some evening meetings and events) and will be based at the Parish Offices in Disley. However, there may be scope for part remote working.
The salary scale will be £33,486 to £36,371 p.a. depending on experience and the Parish Council offers generous Local Government Pension contributions and an initial 26 days per year holiday entitlement.
Responsibilities include overseeing the Council’s statutory obligations, controlling the council’s finances, managing a small team of council officers, managing the council assets and building local partnerships.
Applicants should be able to demonstrate excellent communication, organisational and motivational skills. An understanding of local government would be preferred but strong non-sector applicants will also be considered.
Applicants will be expected to either hold the Certificate in Local Council Administration (CiLCA) qualification or achieve this within 24 months of commencement.
