Knutsford Hub
The purpose of the hub is collaboration, for those VCFSE organisations working in the area to make links with others in order to provide the residents of Knutsford with whatever support they require.
The more organisations know of each other, the better people can be signposted appropriately. It also means that organisations themselves can work together to provide effective services.
A recent survey carried out by CVS with Voluntary, Community, Faith and Social Enterprise (VCFSE) organisations based in and/or working within Knutsford identified a number of gaps in local provision, gaps such as public awareness of local services and lack of local transport and parking. These gaps were further broken down to:
- Referrals from health professionals
- Promotion of services to the local population
- Contact between local charities
- Access and availability of local venues
- Lack of local transport links/community transport
One of the outcomes of the survey was to encourage partnership working between these organisations and so this hub has been created, for those organisations willing to work together and to address the gaps identified.
