We're CVS Cheshire East, working to support the local community. If you're itching to be part of something big, here's your chance! As a Trustee, you can be at the heart of our organisation's leadership, guiding our direction and ensuring we fulfil our mission. Make sure we follow our own rules and laws.
Drive us towards our mission.
Put the community first - always!
Handle our funds wisely.
Use common sense and ask questions.
Keep everyone in the loop and accountable.

Perks and Benefits
As a Trustee, you are a valued volunteer, dedicated to advancing our charity's mission. We understand your commitment and support it with:
Travel expenses, but also things such as extraordinary childcare cover.
Provide training and development opportunities, both individually and collectively.
Offer the chance to meet new people in a variety of settings, such as the board itself, but also in external stakeholder situations.
Include you in exciting new projects and strategies – we tend to have project groups where trustees can get involved in the short term with topics they have a particular interest in.
What We Want:
Because of our cycle of trustee retirement, we have a number of spaces on our board, so are looking for a mix of people, all of whom will have:
A strong belief in the power of community organisations
A desire to collaborate with others
A commitment to improving Cheshire East for all who live and work here
All backgrounds and experiences are welcomed. We want to be more representative of the communities we seek to serve, so especially encourage applications from people from marginalised or racialised heritages and younger people (we’ll let you decide what that means!). We have some trustees leaving us with technical specialisms, so additionally welcome applications from those with confidence in financial oversight, long-term planning OR a strong understanding of community organisations.
CVS is committed to carrying out inclusive recruitment. For more information see the recruitment policy
