We provide a variety of free and low cost training courses on a wide range of subjects to support both staff and volunteers in the Voluntary, Community & Faith sector in Cheshire East. To learn more about each course or to book a place on line, please click on the relevant session link below.

We can also provide high quality, tailored courses to support your organisation at a competitive cost. Please contact our Learning & Development Officer to discuss your requirements.


Each of our CVS training sessions will be marked with one of the below badges as a reference for members working towards GRIPP Assurance or working to a bespoke GRIPP support plan, created following completion of the GRIPP Checklist.
 


Income Generation - Action Learning Course (6 sessions) - Thursday 30th September 2021 to Thursday 20th January 2022 - Thu, 30/09/2021 - 10:00

We are very excited to offer a new course that will build your confidence and skills to create an income generation strategy. The course is spread over 6 sessions, once every three weeks, each covering a different aspect of income generation. The sessions, along with the take home tasks will lead you to create your very own bespoke income generation strategy by the end of the course.

Income Spotlight - Regular Donors - Thursday 30th September, 11am-12pm - Thu, 30/09/2021 - 11:00

This free one-hour spotlight session will look into regular donors to diversify your charity's income.

Boundaries Training - Wednesday 13th October, 1:00pm-2:30pm - Wed, 13/10/2021 - 13:00

This free training will look at how staff and volunteer maintain professional boundaries with service users.

Introduction to Volunteer Management - Thursday 14th October, 1pm-3pm - Thu, 14/10/2021 - 13:00

This free 2 hour session is aimed at people who are new to managing volunteers or involving volunteers in their organisation. Is your organisation volunteer ready? Come along and find out more about how you can prepare your organisation to effectively involve volunteers.

This free one-hour spotlight session will look into Community Fundraising to diversify your charity's income.

Equality and Diversity Webinar - Thursday 28th October, 10am-11:30am - Zoom - Thu, 28/10/2021 - 10:00

This free course is essential for community and voluntary groups to understand the requirements of the 2010 Equality Act and the accompanying ‘Public Sector Equality Duty’ (2011).

Cyber Security Training - Wednesday 3rd November - 1:00pm-2:30pm - Wed, 03/11/2021 - 13:00

Cyber security is the means by which individuals and organisations reduce the risk of becoming victims of cyber attack. This free training session teaches participants about the importance of cyber security and how to implement it for charities.

Business planning cohort (six sessions) - Monday 8th November - 21st January, 1pm-3pm - Mon, 08/11/2021 - 13:00

This free course is spread over 6 sessions (one every 3 weeks) each covering a different aspect of business planning. The sessions, along with the take home tasks will lead you to create your very own bespoke business plan by the end of the course.

First Aid for Mental Health - Online Training - Tuesday 23rd November, 9am-4pm - Tue, 23/11/2021 - 09:00

This Ofqual regulated (level 2), one day course covers all of the subjects from the awareness qualification, along with giving learners the knowledge and confidence to assess for warning signs of suicide and self-harm, and have a greater understanding of the support available. Qualifications are valid for 3 years.
