Host Organisation: Ruby's Fund

We are looking for friendly and enthusiastic volunteers to support the delivery of Ruby’s Fund family services remotely by helping to run play sessions aboard our lovely sensory bus.

Role description:
Accompany the volunteer bus driver to a pre-arranged location e.g. school, family home.  
Supervise the delivery of sensory sessions in the bus, ensuring that rules are followed (according to a pre-defined checklist). 
Ensure that the bus is set up/cleaned and tidied down properly (according to a Ruby’s Fund checklist).  
Be constantly vigilant of possible safeguarding concerns and take appropriate action.  
Undergo all training and supervision as required by Ruby’s Fund. 
Comply with Ruby’s Fund policies and procedures and promote the principles of these policies amongst colleagues, service users, volunteers and other members of the community. 
Time commitment:
1-2hrs per session on an ad-hoc or regular basis.  
Minimum commitment of 6 months.

Travel expenses. Mileage paid at 45p per mile.

What support is available for the volunteer?:

Initial and ongoing training as necessary. Regular 1-1 support and supervision sessions with the Family Support Co-ordinator.
