Stars Volunteer Wellbeing Mentor, your role will be taking an interest and caring for the development of the Mentee. Providing guidance and support along their journey.

As a Motherwell Bright Stars Volunteer Wellbeing Mentor, your
role will be taking an interest and caring for the development of
your Mentee. Providing guidance and support along their journey -
● Giving them insight so as they can gain an accurate
understanding of themselves
● Assisting them with practical tips
● Offering advice and guidance
● Developing understanding, skills, and support with
problem-solving
● Encouraging reflection, recognising and acknowledging
effective practice
● Working through Motherwell chosen Reflective & Growth Models
● Identifying areas for development and improvement of
self-confidence

Volunteer Commitment: Long Term

Skills and Qualifications Required:

Experience of the Mental Health Sector
Understanding of local third sectors

The ability to report effectively

Out of pocket expenses will be reimbursed:
▪ mileage costs @ 45p per mile up to a maximum
▪ public transport up to a maximum of £25 per return trip
