This session is aimed at Trustees who would like advanced training on the roles and responsibilities of a trustee of a small group or charity. This is a free session for CVS members and £35 for non-members.

 

This is a new course to support trustees, directors or management committee members to fully understand  the legal responsibilities and good practice involved in running a community organisation.

We expect participants to have a bsic knowledge about their role and their organisation and so encourage you to watch our short presentations before you attend.

During this advanced course you will have the opportunity to understand the different ways that a trustee can contribute to the organisation and the importance of the role in the governance of the charity.

 

Who's it for?

Trustees, directors aor management committee members who would like in-depth training on their responsibilities within their organisation and to improve their knowledge about what their role means.

Outcomes for Learners:

  • An advanced understanding of the roles and responsibilites of the governing body
  • An opportunity to understand the different ways they can contribute to their organisation
  • The importance of their role in the governance of the organisation
  • An in-depth understanding of ways to develop their governing board

This course links into the Governance section of the GRIPP Checklist.
