Cheshire East Food Alliance launch event - Tuesday 17 October 2023

Join us for the launch of the Food Alliance where we will be, amongst other things, discussing the development of a 'Right to Food' strategy which will outline how we can address food insecurity across Cheshire East.

For the Alliance to be successful we need a cross representation of organisations including community groups, charities, local government, the NHS, housing trusts, retailers, other food providers, and a wide range of other groups / people, to come together, to work to address this significant issue.

The event takes place on Tuesday 17th October at Congleton Town Hall (10 am for 10.30 am). It will finish at 12.30 pm (lunch will be provided).

Andrew Forsey from Feeding Britain is kicking things off. There will also be updates on progress in Cheshire East – including an initial reveal of the mapping exercise, partnership working and a session on the objectives of the food alliance and the proposed themes for the ‘Right to Food strategy we’re developing (access to food, food confident communities and sustainable food systems).
