
Trustee(s) required for an established independent youth music organisation who can help support, develop, and to ensure the continuance of the Charity. (Congleton Youth Orchestra, Registered Charity No 1071130)
“Hands On” Trustees are needed to lead in their area of expertise to complement our existing skill sets plus being part of the succession plans.
Ensuring that the Congleton Youth Orchestra complies with all legal and statutory requirements, ensuring that all safeguarding and other policy procedures are observed.
Working effectively with other Trustee Board members to run the organisation efficiently and for the benefit and enjoyment of its young musician members.
Support the organisation’s Music Director together with the paid staff tutors and staff tutor volunteers.
Use personal experience and expertise to supplement the skill sets of the other Trustee board members
Attend the monthly Trustee Board meetings and other meetings arranged from time to time.
Skills sought include: Financial, Organisational Development and Support, Fundraising, Providing Advice, Trusteeship.
Interest and enthusiasm are equally as important as experience.
Have a relevant time commitment to fulfil the role of Trustee.
The ability to work as part of a team.
Good Communication and IT skills.
The role involves, as a Trustee, anytime and occasional support at Saturday morning rehearsals during termtime.
Induction and briefing in the procedures and operation.
Induction, In-house Safeguarding, Fire and Health and Safety training.
Opportunity to become a CYO Registered Chaperone.
