We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to support the Volunteer Recruitment Co-ordinator (VRC).

Role description:
Help to advertise and promote the range of volunteering opportunities available at Ruby’s Fund.
Deliver recruitment events across Cheshire East e.g. set up a stall at local colleges and talk to potential new volunteers.
Support the VRC to evaluate volunteer recruitment activity and experiment with creative ways to recruit volunteers from a variety of sources to create a diverse network of volunteers.
Treat all potential volunteers inclusively with respect and sensitivity, regardless of age or background.
Undergo all training and supervision as required by Ruby’s Fund.  
Comply with Ruby’s Fund policies and procedures and promote the principles of these policies amongst colleagues, service users, volunteers and other members of the community. 

Time commitment:
1-2hrs per session on an ad-hoc or regular basis.
Minimum commitment of 6 months.

Skills and Qualifications Required:

Warm and friendly attitude. 
Effective communication skills.
Proactive, outgoing and organised with a passion for volunteering.
Relevant experience of volunteering or working with communities, and have an understanding of the positive impact volunteering can have on an individual.
Good record keeper.

Travel expenses. Mileage paid at 45p per mile.

What support is available for the volunteer?:

Initial and ongoing training as necessary. Regular 1-1 support and supervision sessions with the Volunteer Recruitment Co-ordinator.
