We are looking for friendly and enthusiastic volunteers to be part of a friendly and diverse team, providing a variety of informal support at group activity sessions.

Role description:
Welcome and sign in/out parents/carers/children. 
Practical help preparing venue and resources for group sessions e.g. planning and preparing craft activities, setting up/down activity stations. 
Preparing and serving refreshments and a healthy snack. 
Provide any additional support to an individual service user where a need has been identified e.g. an extra pair of hands/ears/eyes. 
Be constantly vigilant of possible safeguarding concerns and take appropriate action.  
Undergo all training and supervision as required by Ruby’s Fund. 
Comply with Ruby’s Fund policies and procedures and promote the principles of these policies amongst colleagues, service users, volunteers and other members of the community.

Warm, friendly and approachable with a non-judgmental attitude. 
Effective communication skills, confident speaking to a diverse range of people.

Travel expenses. Mileage paid at 45p per mile.

What support is available for the volunteer?:

Initial and ongoing training as necessary. Regular 1-1 support and supervision sessions with the Family Support Co-ordinator.
