You will be part of the outpatients team, supporting staff to keep clinics running smoothly
Your role will include: preparing clinic rooms, guiding patients around the department, portering patients who use a wheelchair to other departments, sorting medical notes, making drinks, chatting to patients, keeping patients informed of clinic running times. You will be confident and able to perform tasks using your own initiative, whilst enjoying being part of a busy team. This role has been designed to enhance patient experience and to ease pressure on staff.
You will be comfortable engaging with members of the public and being part of a busy team, but you will also be confident in performing tasks independently as required.
35p per mile up to 10 miles each way per volunteering session. Local bus and train fares as long as are within £7 per maximum per day.

Statutory and Mandatory training, refreshed every three years, information governance refreshed annually, wheelchair training.
