RESULTS campaigners take action locally to fight global poverty – using their voices to change the world. Through your local group in Macclesfield, join a network of campaigners who are passionate advocates for international development issues.
What will I be doing?
-Join the RESULTS Cheshire group and meet likeminded individuals campaigning to bring an end to poverty.
-Support our campaigns on global health, education and economic opportunities. Monthly action materials are sent out to everyone in the network and local groups decide how best to act and engage with the campaign.
-Take action with us, from publishing articles in the media to meeting with your MP.
-Hear from experts on international development each month on our RESULTS conference calls.
-Develop your campaigning and advocacy skills at conferences and training sessions.
-Organise events within the local community, be an ambassador for RESULTS in your area and help us to grow our network.
What skills will I develop for my CV?

What do I need?
All backgrounds and levels of campaigns experience are welcome. You don’t need specific skills to get involved, just enthusiasm and passion!
Volunteers will receive support from their local in Cheshire from how to write a letter to your MP, to how best to campaign on certain issues. There is also support from the national network available, as well as from the RESULTS UK team. Our groups, spread right across the UK, meet monthly to learn about the issues we care about and take action. Every month we share materials that introduce the campaigns we are working on, why they matter and what exactly you can do to make a difference – whether it’s writing letters or emails to MPs and ministers, or organising a local event in your community. Volunteers always have a point of contact for support and this is a very sociable volunteer opportunity.
Volunteers can attend monthly RESULTS UK conference calls to hear from experts on the issues we are campaigning about and also attend a national conference. RESULTS UK volunteers also have the opportunity to attend workshops and training sessions run by campaign coalitions and other organisations. Local groups and the national network can support volunteers in learning new skills and experiences.
