Be part of a growing volunteering team at Macclesfield Hospital as a magician to entertain patients at the bedside or as a show to a ward

• Visit one or two wards a week from a list of pre-agreed wards – always phone to confirm visit
• Perform close up magic tricks to patients who are in their beds / day room
• Perform one-off magic shows when requested by a ward – e.g. for dementia awareness week or for the children’s ward

Skills and Qualifications Required:

Good communication and magician skills; entertaining, approachable and friendly, with a reassuring manner.
Two references are taken from individuals who have known you for 3 years

Do you pay expenses?: Yes
If yes, for what and at what rate?:

Pay out-of-pocket expenses for travel @ 35p per mile up to 10 miles each way or public transport and free car parking is provided

What support is available for the volunteer?:

Support is available through the volunteer co-ordinator, and other hospital staff in situ

What training is available for the volunteer?:
