Host Organisation: Survive

We are looking for someone to help oversee the finances of our small local charity. To produce basic accounts and attend trustee meeting either as a full trustee or in a financial reporting capacity.

Survive is a small local charity based on Nantwich Road in Crewe. Survive offers counselling to adult survivors of childhood abuse, predominantly childhood sexual abuse. Our current financial controller retires in Oct 2020. Currently the financial controller produces basic accounts. i.e. income & expenditure, balance sheets. Year end accounts. Submission to the Charity Commission and Survives business plan. Some offsite working will be involved.
The trustees meet every month usually on Thursday evenings 4:30 to 6:30. Scope to become involved with other aspects of Survives services is available if the applicant is interested.

Skills and Qualifications Required:

Qualifications in the accountancy field. Ability to work as part of a team/committee. Understanding of confidentiality and safeguarding issues. .
