Support and promote East Cheshire Hospice in your local area, in a fundraising support group with local friends.
Support Groups are networks of local people who work together to fundraise for the Hospice through organising bake sales, events, coffee mornings, distributing collection boxes - the ideas are endless!
The group can consist of two people or one hundred people and roles can vary within the group, such as Chair, Treasurer, Secretary and Volunteers. You will be supported every step of the way by your contact at the Hospice and is a great way of getting involved in the local community, meet new friends and learn new hobbies.
None specific - a friendly and helpful nature is all that's required!
You'l be supported every step of the way by your colleagues in the support group, and also our Community Fundraiser Lisa Ball.
we have no specific training requirements for this role, but if you're interested in extending your skill set, East Cheshire Hospice has a full e-learing package that volunteers can access, much of which is relevant to this role, and all volunteers are free to attend ad-hoc training and information sessions on areas as diverse as life support, mindfulness, watercolour painting, Dementia Friends and communication.
