If you are over 18 years of age & would like to join our team of flower arrangers, providing colour and cheer for our patients and their visitors, no experience is necessary as full training will be given here.

You'll make a difference to our patients and their families and friends by providing colour and care, offering a service that hospitals can't provide. It's another type of Hospice care for which we are so well known.
Receive flower donations and arrange into vases / oasis based arrangements.
Change water in existing displays
Deliver arrangements throughout the Hospice, in particular to our patients' areas.
Volunteer flower arrangers work 1.30 - 3.30 weekdays in teams of two, and we have occasional need for volunteers on a Saturday, at a time to suit. For an informal chat, please email

With volunteering being central to the work of East Cheshire Hospice, we provide a great environment in which to volunteer, with a full Hospice and role induction, relevant training and support from every staff member.

What training is available for the volunteer?:

In addition to role-specific training, we ask all volunteers to undertake annual confidentiality, safeguarding and safe working training to ensure a safe and secure environment for our patients, visitors and colleagues. This is short, paper based training taking 10-15 minutes.
