CLiC in Winsford, Cheshire serves customers who are in need or on low incomes (although anyone can buy from us) as a front-line retail assistant , you will need to be polite and attentive to customer’s needs, reliable and professional. Some lifting required.
Your main duties will include:
- Presenting goods for sale
- Keeping the sales area clean and tidy
- Keeping marketing and promotional literature topped up
- Supporting colleagues

Skills and Qualifications Required:

No previous experience needed as full on the job training will be provided however we also welcome applications from people with prior retail experience.
Competency with computers is desirable but not essential as training can be offered

CLiC pays reasonable out-of pocket travel expenses i.e. a day-saver bus ticket or train fare. Please note that we do not pay expenses for travel by taxi. Car mileage is paid at 25p per mile
For volunteers who give more than 4 hours per day, a hot or cold lunch is provided.
Hot refreshments, tea/ coffee are provided free of charge. Cold drinks can be purchased from the on-site CLiC Cafe.

What support is available for the volunteer?:

Support is provided by a Volunteer Coordinator.
You will receive a full induction, Personal Protective Equipment (if required) and ongoing training and personal support.

What training is available for the volunteer?:

On-the-job training plus access to vocational training such as First Aid at Work, NVQ's, Food Safety.
