Do you like to meet new people and enjoy teaching others?

We are looking to recruit volunteers who can lead sports sessions with our resident adults, children and young people. It is a great opportunity to gain experience in leading sports sessions and working with families in need. This role will play a key part of the range of activities that we provide families to improve their fitness and overall physical and mental well being.

You could lead football, badminton, basketball, zumba or anything else sporty.

Experience of leading sports sessions is desirable alongside a keenness to work with people of varying ages.

All volunteers will undergo an enhanced DBS check and provide two references.

Skills and Qualifications Required:

Ideally volunteers would be studying or have studied physical education or sports science. Experience of leading sports and fitness sessions to groups is desirable but willing to consider someone looking to gain experience in this field with suitable background in sports and fitness.

Volunteers should be friendly, outgoing and have an ability to relate to others. Additionally, volunteers should have a good sense of humour, patience and a down-to-earth manner. Building relationships with others will be a key part of the role.

Volunteers can claim travel/mileage expenses up to a cap of £10 per day of volunteering.
