Volunteers will contribute to East Cheshire Hospice by receiving, sorting, steaming, pricing, merchandising and selling donations made by members of the local community, as well as acting as ambassadors for the Hospice. Our lovely teams at Handforth, Chestergate and Thornton Square are looking forward to meeting you!

We are looking for bright, enthusiastic, caring and committed people who work well as team members and are able to adapt to a fast-changing environment. The Hospice is a caring organisation, and you'll be joining a team of volunteers who often deal with people at a difficult time in their lives. We take donations with great sensitivity and treat our customers with warmth, gratitude and support, as well as providing a professional and efficient retail service.

Details of Gender or Age Restrictions: We are able to take any volunteer over the age of fourteen, and welcome Duke of Edinburgh volunteering.

What support is available for the volunteer?:

Full training and support will be given by our staff and volunteers. This is a great opportunity for those who would like to extend their skill set, and improve their CV. You will also have the option of attending training courses and well-being events within the Hospice.

What training is available for the volunteer?:

We will train volunteers in all aspects of running the shop day-to-day, and there are other training opportunities available for those that would like to extend their skill - set. The volunteer co-ordinator is happy to discuss these at any time.
