Hours: 11 hrs per week (over 2 or 3 days inc Wed) 

Salary: £18,125 pro rata 

Location: East Cheshire NHS Trust HQ, Macclesfield 

Duration: This post is fixed term until March 2020 with the potential to extend 


This is an exciting opportunity for an assistant to the volunteer coordinator to help run the volunteer programme at East Cheshire NHS Trust. With around 300 volunteers on various wards in the hospital and across different departments of the Trust, this volunteer programme is well established and thriving. The post holder will help keep this programme running smoothly. 

We are looking for someone with experience of administration work, and the ability to engage with people from a variety of backgrounds and ages. Supporting the volunteer coordinator will involve processing applications, enabling volunteers to access training, and helping at events. The post holder will also be assisting in the production of reports to show the impact of volunteering. 

We are looking for someone who has a passion for people and can support people into their volunteering role. Working with a range of different people and helping them make a difference – this role will be supporting volunteers from age 16-100!
