An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Sensory Support Officer to join our team on a 12 month fixed term contract to cover maternity leave.

We offer various types of support related to sensory loss (sight/hearing loss) for people across Cheshire, Flintshire & Wrexham. We are looking for a professional & approachable individual with a proactive attitude, the ability to work on own initiative and good administration skills. In this post you will be completing assessments and offering person-centred support. This will include information, signposting, practical/ emotional support, provision of and instruction on use of specialist equipment that can support service users. The role includes visiting people in their own homes and providing support within DSN offices.

This position will involve regular travel throughout your designated geographical area, therefore a full driving licence & own transport are essential to the role. You may also be required to provide support in other geographical areas to cover emergencies.
