Pre-school Manager, part time

Permanent, £12.25 per hour, approx. 25 hours per week, term time
The Pre-school is open 8.30am – 3.00pm Monday-Friday, following the Cheshire East school calendar.
Job Summary: Due to retirement after many years of service, Willaston Pre-school is looking for an enthusiastic, flexible and creative person to join and lead our friendly team, who is committed to providing a safe and stimulating environment for the children in our care. Reporting to the committee, you will work closely with the deputy to manage the pre-school, which has an Ofsted “Outstanding” rating and cares for up to 24 children (aged 2 – 5 years old) within a session.
Willaston Pre-school is an independent registered charity run by a committee of parents and dedicated volunteers with a very experienced team of eleven.
Safeguarding requirement: Willaston Pre-school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. It is a requirement of all staff that they share this commitment and follow the prescribed policy and procedures to continuously promote a culture of safeguarding across the whole organisation.
Qualifications and Skills: We are looking for a positive, warm and friendly individual with strong written and oral communication skills, who can work well with a range of people including children, parents, staff and committee and is passionate about providing a high quality and fun learning environment for children.
You will have excellent organisational skills and be able to work independently. You will have a sound understanding of Ofsted requirements, relevant legislation and the EYFS. You will also be computer literate. You will either have, or be able to demonstrate, experience running a pre-school.
N.B. This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974, and does require an enhanced DBS check. Applicants must be prepared to disclose any convictions they may have and any orders which have been made against them.
