Headspace Housing Support Adviser

 

37 hours per week

(the role is also offered as 2 x 18.5 hour posts)

Salary: £22,212 - 24,313 per annum 

dependent on experience

 

Headspace is a new project funded by the Nationwide Building Society to support  people with mental health problems who are experiencing financial difficulties that threaten their housing status or are currently homeless and need help to secure and maintain housing by addressing their financial issues.

 

The successful candidate may already have experience of working with this client group or have other transferable skills. They will provide a bespoke package of holistic support including; helping clients access accommodation and/or maintain tenancies, identifying debt solutions, maximising income and minimising expenditure. They will have a sound understanding of a broad range of complex issues such as benefits and housing systems and will also advise on budgeting, income maximisation and accessing wider support. There will be targets to meet and caseloads to manage.

 

You will be a stickler for detail/accuracy & efficiency. You will have a high standard of written English and enjoy working as part of a team. A positive attitude to hard work, keenness to learn, and the ability to take constructive feedback are a must.

 

This role will be based in our Crewe and/or Macclesfield offices with travel across Cheshire East essential.  We encourage applications from disabled people and will offer an interview to anyone meeting the minimum criteria for the job.

Contract Type: Fixed term until 31/12/2020.
