DSN is a modern, dynamic charity providing a wide range of support services related to sensory loss for people across Cheshire and the surrounding area. We are a Disability Confident employer with vibrant offices in Macclesfield, Northwich and Chester. Our values-based culture comes from our knowledge that the services we provide make a real difference to the people we support. We are recruiting for a Day Services Support Worker due to the retirement of a member of staff.

This role involves working with our service users to provide a vibrant, caring and creative environment, where people come together to spend time in The Tannery, our dedicated centre in Northwich. The people who use our day services are our most important consideration in developing what we do, and it is essential they are given opportunities and encouragement to review their development, progress and explore new challenges. We value a person-centred approach and to carry out this role you will need to work closely with colleagues to ensure an inclusive environment for each learner.
We are looking for someone who has previous experience of working in a day centre, an understanding of the needs of a wide range of service users with challenging behaviour and knowledge and understanding of D/deaf issues.

You will be fully supported by an excellent programme of continuous training and development including training in BSL, allowing you to truly shine in your role. We also offer a range of other benefits including:

24 days rising to 29 days of annual leave, company sick pay, contributory pension scheme, access to enhanced role-specific training, medicash health plan, cycle scheme.
