About the business:

JG Creative Graphic Design and branding Agency

JG Creative was set up in 2012 by Joanne Grubb as a graphic design and branding agency. Jo had moved back home to Nantwich after spending 14 years working in London in large charities and marketing agencies.

She feels passionately about the charity sector and how beneficial good design can be to help causes stand out and encourage donations and support.

Jo worked for RNID for 5 years as their design manager, working on everything from leaflets, stationery, t-shirts, reports and every type of fundraising piece possible. She also managed their annual Impact Report and is happy to talk to any charity looking to report back in this way and wants to know the pitfalls!

Jo also managed the 2-year rebranding of RNID to Action on Hearing Loss, including all the stakeholder research which told them a name-change was a must. The project was brought in on budget and on time - for the Charities 100th birthday. 1,200 staff and volunteers at 76 different locations all re-branded for the big day with new signage and mugs/t-shirts for everyone. They even had the BT tower lit up with their new logo for the day!

Customer feedback:

"I worked with Joanne on the rebrand from RNID to Action on Hearing Loss. Jo is one of the most creative talents I have worked with over the years; her passion and drive to deliver a great result for her clients is impressive. Jo is great at building relationships with key stakeholders to deliver projects on time and to budget. I can highly recommend her." - Emma Harrison, Director of Public Engagement, Action on Hearing Loss

Design Examples JG Creative and Henshaws Society for the Blind won a prestigious award at the UK Vision Conference on 18 June in Westminster, London. Together they created a poster to visualise a research project completed to show how Henshaws are helping create ‘A society in which people with sight loss can fully participate’. They were delighted to win the top prize in their category against the 24 other posters that were showcased at the event.
