Making sure you recruit and retain the right volunteers will help your organisation thrive. This session will help you to understand the right steps to take when involving volunteers in your organisation.
Who's it for?
This course is ideal for any organisation who already involve volunteers or would like to involve volunteers - especially suitable for new volunteer managers and those who want to learn more.
Aim of the Session:
To support volunteer involving organisations to recruit and retain the right volunteers to support their organisation.
The course will cover:
Recruiting Volunteers - including the best methods, writing attention grabbing role descriptions and best practice when interviewing and ways of safeguarding your organisation, service users and volunteers.
Retaining Volunteers - including induction, supervision, getting the buy in of staff and trustees, training, motivation, saying thanks and when to say goodbye.
Outcomes of the Session:
By the end of the session learners should be able to:
