Community transport is about providing flexible and accessible community-led solutions in response to unmet local transport needs, and often represents the only means of transport for many vulnerable and isolated people.  CVS Cheshire East have set up a Community Transport Network to enable VCFS organisations delivering different forms of community transport to come together, connect and support each other at a local level.

We are delighted to be joined by Caroline Whitney, Director for England, Community Transport Association, who will provide an update on their AMAP campaign to increase mileage allowance (especially relevant for community car schemes and mini-bus operators), the government call for evidence on driving licences and NHS volunteer responders as drivers. Caroline will also cover the work they are doing around connecting and supporting regions and discuss motability funding that is available.

We will be providing an update on our activities at CVS Cheshire East and have an open floor discussion for you to share your experiences and services.
