This virtual session will cover the key points to consider before you employ someone, i.e. organisational culture, management structure, resources, planning and funding.
Our guest speaker is Warren Moores (Associate Solicitor, SAS Daniels) who will provide the practical steps involved in the recruitment process:
- The different kinds of employment contracts (permanent/ fixed term/ temporary)
- The basics of hiring (advertising for a job, interviewing and offering a job)
- The basics of employee management from an employment law perspective looking at contracts and policies/procedures and why they are important.
There will also be time for questions and discussion around employment to share experience and advice.
