CVS AGM+ Build Back Together mini-conference
Wednesday 4th November 2-4pm

At our AGM we will have a chance to review challenges and successes over the last year and look forward to the next year of CVS support for the local VCFS sector.

This year CVS has changed its funding model, during the opening presentation will be sharing how we have adapted the way we are supported financially and our plans for funding in the future.

It is vital to us that we involve as many CVS member organisations as we can in shaping our plans for the future, and for you to use your voting rights at the CVS AGM. If you are a CVS Member, we'd be grateful for your attendance.

The mini-conference will be a richly insightful and supportive event for all, but just by attending you will be in for a chance to secure direct 1 to 1 year-round expert support from CVS for your organisation for 12 months, for no cost.

Build Back Together Mini-Conference

We don't like to miss an opportunity to bring our community together and work in support of each other, our AGM has never really just been an AGM.

As we look at the immediate and long term future of our local sector, this event comes at a time to make plans on how we can build back together.

This mini-conference will be an opportunity for learning and discussion across the sector. CVS will facilitate workshops following the main session as below. When you register for the meeting you will be asked to select your preferred breakout room to join.

1) Emergency Response Planning
This workshop session will provide a chance to reflect on experiences of the sector’s response to Covid and start to develop a future response process together. This discussion will focus on how collectively we can be better at responding together, supporting each other and the community if there are future emergencies that require us to respond.

2) Levelling Out Inequality – Looking Outward
This workshop session will focus on identifying and discussing gaps in knowledge on engaging and enabling BAME communities accessing our services. COVID has highlighted inequalities in our communities and it is all our responsibilities to work towards eradicating these. This discussion will bring together our collective knowledge and experiences to identify how as a sector we can open our services to address inequalities.

3) The Future of Sector Support CVS is committed to supporting the VCFS in Cheshire East. COVID has changed the way that we all work. We would like to start discussions with members and the wider VCFS to identify what you want from us now and in the future. The views expressed will feed into our current plans and our new ‘2020 and beyond’ strategic plan. We are a member-led organisation – and so your voice will be heard and acted upon.

Please register by clicking the link below. You will be sent Zoom dial-in information closer to the meeting date. We look forward to engaging with you on the day.
