During this course you will have the opportunity to understand the different ways that a trustee can contribute to the organisation and the importance of the role in the governance of the charity.
Who's it for?
Anyone who is either new to being a trustee, thinking of becoming a trustee or would like to further update their knowledge about what trusteeship means.
Outcomes for Learners:
- An overview of the responsibilities of a trustee
- An opportunity to understand the different ways that a trustee can contribute to their organisation
- The importance of their role in the governance of the organisation
- An understanding of ways to develop their trustee board
This course links into the Governance section of the GRIPP Checklist.
The course will be delivered by Tina Cartlidge, Development Officer at CVS Cheshire East. Tina has worked in the charity sector for her entire career initially as a grant writer, then supporter relations manager and fundraising manager for an emerging charity. She joined CVS in 2013 and since then has further developed skills and knowledge in all areas of running a successful community organisation.
