In the current funding climate it is more important than ever to find other ways to generate income for your organisation. This session looks at how you can start to plan for and understand how to approach businesses.
This course is aimed at community and voluntary groups who would like to learn more about the process of approaching businesses.

Aim of the session:

The session aims to give organisations insight into what makes businesses ‘buy’ from you.  

By the end of the session you should be confident in:

  • Understanding the importance of matching your own objectives and those of potential partners

  • Better utilise your own collateral as a sustainable model for working with businesses

  • Increase your confidence in approaching businesses by having effective solutions

This session will cover: 

  • Understanding your own aims & objectives

  • Understanding and valuing your own collateral as an organisation

  • Understanding the aims and objectives of businesses

  • Matching your objectives & making effective use of your collateral to win effective sustainable business partnerships (what’s in it for me)

  • Translating your aims & objectives into great ideas and proposals 

  • Planning your approach 

  • Managing your relationship 

The session will be led by the Development Team at CVS Cheshire East, drawing on our experience working with businesses.

Cancellation: Please note we require a minimum of 3 working days' notice to cancel a place on this course otherwise your organisation will be charged the full course fee.
