This one day course is ideal for anyone who writes grant applications, funding bids or reports and would like to make their writing more human, engaging and persuasive. Suitable for all levels, and for all types of writing. Inspirational and unconventional, this workshop is particularly valuable for anyone who finds writing can be a struggle.

Most people involved in the voluntary sector have at some time faced the blank page of a report or bid and found difficulty expressing their thoughts and ideas.Yet you may also have experienced occasions when the words seemed to appear like magic. The ideas flow out and the task is accomplished successfully with apparently very little effort.

So how can learn to call on this skill more readily?  This course is an opportunity to unblock the barriers that may be holding you back. The techniques can be applied to any kind of writing – letters, emails, staff and customer communications, marketing and social media.

The course will cover:

  • How to motivate and inspire your readers
  • Injecting power, passion and integrity into your text
  • Writing with the reader in mind
  • The six step writing process that guarantees success
  • Writing from the heart – and the head
  • Know how to start writing – and abolish writers block
  • Making writing an enjoyable experience
  • Learn to write with increased fluency and ease
  • Connect on a more human level and build real relationships with your readers

Learning Outcomes:

  • More confident about yourself and your ability to communicate
  • Engage your readers
  • Look forward to writing rather than dreading it
  • Produce inspiring and powerful text
