This session is aimed at anyone who is considering becoming a Trustee for a charity or community group or new Trustees who would like to learn more. The training will provide an overview of the roles and responsibilities of a trustee of a small group or charity. This course is funded by Cheshire East Lifelong Learning for VCFS organistions.

Virtual Training on Zoom

During this course you will have the opportunity to understand the different ways that a trustee can contribute to the organisation and the importance of the role in the governance of the charity.

Who's it for?

Anyone who is either new to being a trustee, thinking of becoming a trustee or would like to further update their knowledge about what trusteeship means.

Outcomes for Learners:

  • An overview of the responsibilities of a trustee
  • An opportunity to understand the different ways that a trustee can contribute to their organisation
  • The importance of their role in the governance of the organisation
  • An understanding of ways to develop their trustee board

The course will be delivered by the CVS Cheshire East team. 

This course is funded by Cheshire East Lifelong Learning for VCFS organisations in Cheshire East.

Training cost:

  • Non-VCFS organisations / sole traders = £35
  • VCFS organisations = £35  £0 (funded)

*Cancellation: Non-attendance without 5 working days’ notice of cancellation will result in you being charged a £20 fee (or the full course fee if you are not from a VCFS organisation). This cancellation fee is to cover time spent developing and delivering the course and to meet minimum funder participant requirements. If you are not able to give 5 working days’ notice you can also fill your place with someone else from your organisation and will not be charged.
