This 3 hour session is aimed at people who are new to managing volunteers or involving volunteers in their organisation. Is your organisation volunteer ready? Come along and find out more about how you can prepare your organisation to effectively involve volunteers.

                

 

Who's it for?
 
Any community or voluntary group which involves volunteers and wants to ensure that best practice is followed. Especially aimed at new volunteer managers or people who are new to working with volunteers.

Aim of the session:
 
The course aims to help new volunteer managers or volunteer involving organisations. To ensure you get the best from your volunteers good volunteer management is essential.

The course covers:

  •          What you need in place before involving volunteers.
  •          Policies and procedures.
  •          Best practice in volunteer management.
  •          Pitfalls to avoid.

Outcomes for learners:

  • Understand the policies and procedures that need to be in place to support you and your volunteers.
  • Understand best practice in recruiting and retaining your volunteers.

During the session volunteer managers are encouraged to share ideas and solutions.

 

This session fits into the Governance and People sections of the GRIPP Checklist.

 

The course will be delivered by a member of the Development Team at CVS Cheshire East.  

 

Cancellation: Please note that although the session is free to CVS Cheshire East Members - non attendance without 5 working days' notice of cancellation will result a charge of £20 being invoiced to your organisation. Non-members will be charged the full course fee. When booking you will need to agree to fees to complete the booking.
