The course covers:
- What you need in place before involving volunteers.
- Policies and procedures.
- Best practice in volunteer management.
- Pitfalls to avoid.
Outcomes for learners:
- Understand the policies and procedures that need to be in place to support you and your volunteers.
- Understand best practice in recruiting and retaining your volunteers.
During the session volunteer managers are encouraged to share ideas and solutions.
This session fits into the Governance and People sections of the GRIPP Checklist.
The course will be delivered by Suzy Keen, membership Services Manager at CVS Cheshire East. She has a great deal of knowledge of the sector and supporting organisations including grants support, fundraising, volunteer management, policies and governance.
Cancellation: Please note that although the session is free to CVS Cheshire East Members - non attendance without 3 working days' notice of cancellation will result a charge of £20 being invoiced to your organisation. Non-Members will be charged the full course fee.
