Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility. Do your staff, trustees and volunteers understand the basics of safeguarding? This free session will ensure that you understand what your organisation needs to do to keep everyone involved safe.

No matter what size your community organisation or charity is safeguarding needs to be taken seriously.

 

This free 3 hour session is designed to ensure that the people involved with your organisation understand what safeguarding is and how to deal with any safeguarding issues.

 

Who's it for?

Anyone involved in a community or voluntary group who needs to understand the essentials of safeguarding.

 

Aim of the session:

To give community and voluntary organisations and their trustees/ volunteers and staff an understanding of safeguarding, recognise and respond to allegations of abuse.

 

The course will cover:

  • Understanding what safeguarding means
  • Types of abuse
  • Signs and symptoms of abuse
  • What to do if you suspect abuse or a disclosure is made
  • How to safeguard your organisation

 

The course will be led by Mark Smith, Development Officer at CVS Cheshire East. Mark has worked in the sector for a number of years and has a large amount of experience helping organisations with safeguarding policies and procedures.

 

We anticipate a high demand for these sessions please book early to avoid disappointment. 

To ensure this training reaches as many organisation's as possible a maximum of 3 people per organisation can attend each session. If you need a large number of people to be trained please contact us on advice@cvsce.org.uk 

 

Cancellation - Please note we require a minimum of 3 working days' notice to cancel a place on this session or your organisation will be invoiced a £20 administration charge.
