We do this in a number of ways:

- Help you to identify a list of appropriate funders for you to apply to
- Provide support during the application stage
- Read through and offer advice on your completed application form
- Provide support with any monitoring and reporting requirements
- Provide follow up support and advice
- Keep you up to date with new and updated grant schemes through our regular e-bulletins and through our funding alerts pages
We also provide training sessions on:
- Applying for grants
- Developing budgets
- Developing policies and procedures that are suitable for your organisation
Our Your Space Funding Network gives you a chance to meet with people from other local groups and learn from their experiences in Fundraising. You can also join our e-mailing network - more information can be found here
Funding Searches
Open4Community is a huge database where you can search for funders for your group or project. It’s available for all voluntary, community and faith groups and contains information on many different sources of funding, from local, regional, national and European bodies.
It’s very easy to use – you can either register on the site and use the search facility to find funders recommended for your project, or you can browse through different categories of funders to give you a broader picture of what is available.
Don’t miss the wealth of information that’s available under the Help and Advice button – including hints on filling in application forms, explanation of jargon, & guidance on what funders are looking for.
Another website we recommend is Funding Central, which is government funded and covers national funding and finance opportunities for voluntary and community organisations operating in England from European, national, regional and local government and charitable sources.
Useful websites for finding research and data to support your funding bids:
Third Sector Knowledge Portal - easily find good quality research material from a wide range of sources.
Poverty in England - gives figures on such issues as poverty, life expectancy, social housing, and ranks them separately, and overall. The information is based on parishes.
DORIC - online resource for local data and information serving the communities of Cheshire and Warrington.
ONS - download Census data and other public information. You can then add your own data, plot it on a graph and include it in your next bid.
